I realize that we live in an ever-changing world and that it is governed by technology. If possible, I want my students to start at an early age knowing how technology affects them. I am frightened by technology because I am not as efficient as I would like to be. I want to learn how to be more efficient in this globalized world and apply it in my PreK class. More so, I want to benefit as an individual with all the changes that come with knowing technology and how to use it.

My students are small and can be taught using updated methods. . .but what?

  2. Starfall.com - my 3 year old loves this program. She has learned most of her letter sounds with the aid of this computer program and I could not believe how well she can play the memory games. Try this program!

  3. The 21st Partnership Skills site was very informative. There is even information as to how I might become a member. As I searched, I discovered the site had sites within a site. Because of the timeframe, I was not able to do too much exploring as I would have liked to.

The mission statement includes a great deal of entities. It covers every aspect that a child needs to be involved with for his or her success regardless of what the child may decide to do beyond high school.

I was surprised to see all the entities affiliated in the mission statement. It appears that all communities are involved.

There really was not anything that I disagreed with other than that my state, Florida, not being a part of Route 21. However, I was not too disappointed because only 14 states participates. Nonetheless, I believe more state will be connected with this endeavor.

There are several implications for my students as well as for me. However, the main implications are for the students to know as well as to master skills that will allow them to succeed in both life and work in the 21st Century. More so, it is my responsibility as an educator to teach these skills to my students.

Summarily, the 21st Century Partnership Skills site is an extraordinary site comprised of a multitude of people aimed at the students' success in both life and work from beyond high school.
